Coleman Road Trip Pro Grill

... After reading the reviews here and doing a lot of comparison shopping, we bought the Roadtrip to use on our patio and while car camping. It has the hottest surface of all we looked at and it has performed really well (fish, veggies in a basket, corn, shishkabob, hamburgers, steak fillets, eggs and sausage with griddle). I like the fact the lid is high enough to close while cooking and the porcelain grill surface cleans pretty well.

It is heavy but the features (knobs, wheels, etc) feel very solid. Its a trade off but I think the sturdiness of it make it well worth the weight. I bought a full sized tank for the patio and bought disposable ones for camping. Not sure if it was my imagination or not but the portable ones don't feel like they have the same pressure and so grill doesn't burn as hot.

I do worry when it is in closed position about the tank nozzle which sticks out and should be removed when transporting it.

I ordered the cast iron griddle for it but it doesn't really fit well so have returned it. The carrying case shown on Amazon I couldn't get to fit. It went back too. have since purchased a nice griddle with handles and really like using it with this grill.

I based some of my decision on the reviews here, so figured I better write one too. I am not dissatisfied so far (after probably a dozen or so uses). I'd make the same decision again. ...
