Coleman PowerChill Thermoelectric Cooler with Power Supply (40-Quart)

... I had the older version (grey and white) of this product for a couple of years and only once had to replace a motor. It finally died. I have bought three of these newer ones in a little over a year. I give up. I will never buy another. It is cheap junk!

On the first one, it just quit cooling after a few short months. The fan still worked! On the second one the fan quit working. I took the fan off the first one and put it in and then it worked for another couple of months until it froze up again! The third one just quit cooling after only a couple of months but the fan still runs.

I still need a cooler, so hopefully somebody besides Coleman makes a decent one.

Coleman Quickbed with MP3 Speakers and Built-In 4D Pump (Queen)

... My husband and I bought this mattress last fall for a camping trip. We really enjoyed it. The built in pump worked great. Very fast inflate and deflate. All in all it is a typical air mattress. Nothing I would use to sleep on every night, but for overnight guests and camping trips it's perfect.

As for the built in speakers, we loved it. It is not loud enough to have music at your whole campsite. But it is just enough to kill the complete silence when you are trying to sleep. We have two boys (2 and 7) and it perfect for them. It helps them fall right to sleep when we are camping.

I think you can't go wrong for the price, and it really is good quality.

Coleman Mosquito Net

... If you are being bitten my really small mosquitoes called No-See-Ums - mosquitoes that are hard to spot with a naked eye - then the Coleman Mosquito Net's mesh size is too large to work against No-See_Ums (Small Mosquitoes). For that, go with a higher mesh (190 or higher) - Like Coghlan's Deep Woods Mosquito Net. I did. And have been enjoying some much-needed peaceful sleep at night. ...

Coleman Steel Non-Stick Griddle

... I am very impressed with the quality of this griddle, it beats most home use griddles for standing up to wear and tear. Disperses heat evenly and is large enough to feed several people. I only wish Coleman had made their campstove carrier larger so it could ride inside a compartment as well, like a laptop case. The nonstick surface appears to be the quality kind, not the cheap application that flakes or chips at the slightest provocation. Very happy with it. ...

Coleman PVC Double Wash Basin,

... I really despised this Coleman PVC sink and it now lives in my bin of rejected and unloved camping gear. I gave it a chance, but it is too small to be useful and very unstable. With hot water, it feels like a child's pool toy that's been left out in the sun. It was a waste of money. It won't last and will soon end up in a landfill. There are far better products out there. Seattle Sports Pack Sinks are larger and tougher. I use two of them when car camping. It costs more, but it works and makes the whole camping experience that much more enjoyable. Problem solved. You don't need to settle for this chintzy and cramped little piece of junk. Spend a little more for something that works and that you can depend on. Go big or stay home. ...

Coleman Camper's Utensil Set

... I bought this to use with addition to my aluminum mess kit made by Coleman. It Is very compact and effective. at times it can be hard to clean but at home you can just pop it in the dish washer. The knife is a little hard to get out but is great to have(I no longer have to use my knife). I also think they way that they separate is really nice. Coleman Tripod Grill & Lantern Hanger

... Not a good buy if you are going to use as a cooking surface.
I bought Coleman Tripod Grill & Lantern Hanger for my mom to keep her coffee pot over the fire wile the cooking grate was in use. The tripod was really flimsy and none to stable. If you lifted the tripod to move or adjust it the legs would fall apart. The grill is held in place by one thin chain that swings. If what ever you put on the grill has some weight to it like an 8 cup coffee pot and it is not on center the thing starts to tip.
We mostly used it as a hanger for the lantern. ...

Coleman Hooligan 4 Tent

... Overall this is a good tent, but I found out the hard way that the tent isn't waterproof. There is a basic problem in the maufacturing of the tent fly. The fly itself is well constructed and the seams are sealed, but after the seams are sealed they stitch on the velcro tabs which hold the fly to the tent poles. When they stitch the velcro on, they don't reseal the stitching, so it leaks. Their "guaranteed waterproof" doesn't help much miles from the car in a downpour at midnight. I've sealed the seams myself now, so we'll see if it helps.
Beyond that, the overall set up is easy and logical. There are two main poles that cross to support the tent, and another pole across the front to support the vestibule. It's important to note that the tent without the fly is all mesh, so you can't use the tent by itself unless you don't need ANY privacy. I was orginally skeptical of the vestibule design, but after a few trips I've come to like it. It lets me keep the dirty and wet gear outside, which keeps things cleaner inside. I'm a big guy, so it's a little bit of a pain to duck under the vestibule to go in the tent. The floor seems solid, and the overall material seems more durable than some other coleman tents, such as the Sundome. There is a vent at the top rear of the tent, but it seems like a place to let water and bugs in. The interior space of the tent is good, but you can tell that from the 9x7 footprint. Another feature I would have liked is to have staps to hang a lantern in the top of the tent.
Assuming my sealer keeps the tent dry, I'll continue to use it, becuase of the good interior space, but there is real room for improvement in this tent. ...

Coleman Elite InstaStart Propane Lantern

... had one of these in camp for our summer family trip. i'll say this: it works. it's reliable. it really does light with the push of a button.

my complaints: the brightness only goes between 'ark of the covenant' and 'off'. they're not joking around when they say it's significantly brighter than other lanterns. the instant start, while reliable, isn't the best-operating setup. it does click on with a push of a button. but you've hit the button a good dozen times, waiting for the propane to get down to the ignition. the resulting mini-fireball, inside the globe, is entertaining but frustrating. the 'thud' of ignition is also rather suprising.

but like all coleman products, despite any complaints you could ever have... it works like crazy. long tank life, bright, easier than fumbling with matches or a lighter, it really does have a lot going for it.

it's also pretty durable. one or two of these would be igniting and burning when your grandkids are going camping.

Coleman 2-Burner Propane Grill Stove

... This stove does not have an igniter. It's match light only which is fine, but when shopping on Amazon the two models are virtually indistinguishable except this is like a buck less.

From my perspective, it's a waste to return this product just to get the igniter, but I have buyers remorse - not related to the product but purchasing this item via mail order. I may have saved a few bucks, but Amazon's stock goes way down in my book for not clearly marking this stove's feature. Coleman Expandable Water Carrier (5-Gallon)

... I purchased this as an inexpensive secondary fermentation/bottling vessel for homebrewing. While waiting for my shipment to arrive I found an equivilant at my local Walmart for under $6.00 (Ozark Trail or something). The Coleman bottle has 2 molded handles which will eventually pose a cleaning problem since water flows through them. My spigot leaks around the green screw connector. The container has a strong 'plastic' smell. I'm not sure how that will effect the flavor of water (or brew in my case). Over all I'm not pleased with the Coleman purchase.

The Walmart brand was perfect, leak free and excellent for fermenting and bottling in one easy step. The collapsable design eliminated chugging and it was BPA free, (a widely used chemical used to make plastic food and drinking containers).

FYI - I did not check spelling. :) ...

Coleman 40-Quart Wheeled Cooler with Cup Holder Lid (Blue)

... The handle on this cooler is too short. At 5'5", I am the shortest person in my family, and even I had to stoop over a bit to roll this thing. Taller members found it downright uncomfortable to haul. If you lift up on the handle so that you can stand upright, the cooler tilts far back toward the wheels and at times fell over on its short side. Filled with drinks and ice it gets very heavy, and is difficult to move even with the wheels. To anybody at Coleman: please invent a cooler with four wheels, (with a collapsible long handle) that you can roll along like a baby stroller. My aching back will thank you. On the plus side, the coldness of the thing was great. To experiment, I have not emptied the cooler since our picnic over 48 hours ago, and there is still ice in there and the drinks are still cold. ...

Coleman 8D Square Pack-Away Lantern with Remote Control

... Used this lantern on a recent camping trip and it made life a little easier for my wife and I. The remote is what makes all the difference. We kept this lantern inside the tent and used the remote to light the way prior to entering.

The light output is sufficient enough to read by. There are two output settings, but I couldn't tell the difference between the two.

We've only put about 8 total hours on the lantern so I can't report on the longevity but seems to be well built and could handle some abuse. All in all, I would buy another one if needed. ...

We are in the YMCA Adventure Guide/Princess program. The tent has been great, it still looks almost as good as new. Granted, we have not encountered any really severe weather, but it stood tall through several pretty windy (30-35mph) nights. ... I have had 3 screen tents - all made by different companies. The others all lasted for several years and finally junked when the zippers died. The Coleman was only on its second summer when it croaked. The fabric became brittle from the sun and tore easily on top. The configuration of the poles on top made it hold water in a couple of pockets on top which meant you had to go out and drain it or it would of collapsed. The poles were lighter weight than others I have had and bent easily.

Coleman Road Trip Pro Grill

... After reading the reviews here and doing a lot of comparison shopping, we bought the Roadtrip to use on our patio and while car camping. It has the hottest surface of all we looked at and it has performed really well (fish, veggies in a basket, corn, shishkabob, hamburgers, steak fillets, eggs and sausage with griddle). I like the fact the lid is high enough to close while cooking and the porcelain grill surface cleans pretty well.

It is heavy but the features (knobs, wheels, etc) feel very solid. Its a trade off but I think the sturdiness of it make it well worth the weight. I bought a full sized tank for the patio and bought disposable ones for camping. Not sure if it was my imagination or not but the portable ones don't feel like they have the same pressure and so grill doesn't burn as hot.

I do worry when it is in closed position about the tank nozzle which sticks out and should be removed when transporting it.

I ordered the cast iron griddle for it but it doesn't really fit well so have returned it. The carrying case shown on Amazon I couldn't get to fit. It went back too. have since purchased a nice griddle with handles and really like using it with this grill.

I based some of my decision on the reviews here, so figured I better write one too. I am not dissatisfied so far (after probably a dozen or so uses). I'd make the same decision again. ...

Coleman 14- by 14-Foot Event Shelter

... I bought it at a Coleman outlet store in GA on my to camp in the NC mountains for a week. I put it up myself and only needed help to get each of the 2nd legs clipped in to the feet. (I'm a smallish woman) Had trouble getting some of the poles apart afterward, then a friend suggested gently tapping the opposite end of the pole with a hammer, and that worked. In a heavy rain the center vent dripped, but the thing is big enough 5 of us could easily stay away from the center. A small tarp over the top would have fixed that. We hung 8x10 tarps to cover the sides and that worked just fine. The guy camped next to me had one too--his shock cords had come out but he just put it up anyway. 14x14 is a nice amount of floor space, and my 6'4" husband can comfortably stand in it. Coleman Harbor Sleeping Bag

... For those who are looking for a COMFORTABLE sleeping bag at a reasonable price, this is the one. I actually ordered two Coleman Colossal sleeping bags for my husband and I, and these Harbor bags for the kids. Well, it ended up they were the same price, and with the same temperature rating, I didn't see any difference between them other than 20 dollars and the color of the fabric! So if you are considering the Colossal ones because you think they have more room, they don't!!

As far as the qualities of this sleeping bag, they are REALLY, REALLY cozy. Because they are not synthetic, they are heavier, but to me it is so worth it, I've slept in warm synthetic ones and been miserable because they are so uncomfortable, whereas this one I was stealing to use as a blanket on our couch, it was so cozy!! They are very roomy, and are made with excellent quality materials. The zippers are REALLY nice compared to other sleeping bags I've had, they look very sturdy with their additional rubber seal and work easily.

One additional thing that I liked about these is that the protective bag is attached to the sleeping bag. No more trying to pack the sleeping bag into a too-small protective slip. I sloppily rolled them back up after using them around the house and though the bag did not cover the entire sleeping bag with my messy work, it did cover the parts that were necessary to protect the bag, and it was MUCH easier than the one's I've used in the past.

I really can't think of any negatives for this bag. Only thing I can remotely think of is the weight, which isn't important to me since we are camping somewhat near our car anyhow.

For the price, temperature rating and quality, I don't think you can find a better buy!!
